I Was supposed to do the voice over for the IVR for a company I used to work with as a QA Monitor back in 2003-2004 but I got so fed up I left the company before the recording date came around.
This is brand new to me and I fancied doing something different with something I already possess (my voice).I am interested in starting as new career doing voiceover ads, voiceover jobs, voice talent and am actually looking for a voice talent agency that can help me.
I have had no formal training, this is brand new to me as I knocked back an opportunity some years ago while working as a customer services agent for sky tv when someone took a fancy to my voice on a call and was scrambling around for a number to take my details,I hung up and have regretted it ever since,However many people over the years have told me my voice will be my fortune. Any training I have I have learned the old way using microphone technique while working in pubs/clubs and technical equipment while on tour.
I have had the customer service rep training using pitch pace and volume and listening to other peoples voices so I can match them and change the opinion of them re the person they are speaking too,(mirroring).
Over 10 years djing experience
The ability to think on my feet while making up jingles on the spot and introducing them to a crowd eg,Halloween 2002 Abu Dhabi I came up with the name for a night right out the blue "DARE TO SCARE" MONSTROUS TUNES AND BLOOD CURDLING DRINKS,YOU BRING THE COSTUMES WE PROVIDE THE VOLUME,DARE TO SCARE - BE THERE.
